OK, yesterday I made a funny experiment, since some were reporting better results using the 3.1i (or in fact 3.2) kernel.
I updated the 3.2 kernel to the latest mods I made on the 3.3b-beta2, so functionality was exactly the same.
Then I applied the changed between Samsung Sourcedrop Update 7 and Update 8.
I gave that little child a new name and called it 3.3c.
So if you want 3.3c is an updated 3.1i with all latest Yank functionalities and all changes by Samsung.
I've found it to indeed behave better and smoother, so I'm inclined to drop the Update 8 base (so 3.2b-beta2 would be the last incarnation of that path).
The difference is, since it's the same target, but using different paths to get there, that I use defconfig of Update 7 as base.
Now let me stop all this jibberich to just announce that there is a new kernel to be released :
Changelog v3.3c- same kernel as 3.3b-beta2, but based off of SGS3-U7-v3.2a with diff. of Samsung Update 7 to 8 applied only, defconfig unchanged (as was in 3.2a)
- updated to kernel.org Linux 3.0.69
- fixed MHL no sound issue (reverted "ASoC: wm8994: Ensure there are enough BCLKs for four channels" by Mark Brown)
