Because of the convolver which takes my specific headphone (Sony MDR-1R) as a parameter it gives me a good feeling about viper4android.

I will check the settings of boeffla.
Just installed it....

They are very different !

One is a simple software mod (viper), the other is a hardware mod (Boeffla).

The software mod will change the digital data stream, the hardware mod will not touch the digital data stream, it will change the way that data stream is converted to analog.

Keeping both won't hurt, except maybe your ears :D

That's what I meant some posts back, I suppose the problem is rather the zram implementation that may be causing the issues, or something else, and the governor change to ondemand keeping all cores running will just lighten the effect, but it's not the root cause.

So all that happened, is that a frequency for responsiveness has been bumped up from 400MHz to 500MHz and there is one more read-only file in the sysfs interface.

That's weird then, there must be some other changes in your kernel that fixes the lag problems. BTW I'm not using PegasusQ, I'm using zzmove.

I think the kernel switches from pegasusq to another governor, maybe powersave ..
The lag is too great for being on a governor like pegasusq. That or the frequencies are way to low. . With your kernel at 500 mhz it works OK and I don't think the 100 mhz difference from 400mhz would cause such a lag.

Also. . With your kernel on pegasusq it is more slower than on stock. I mean on stock this baby flies without much lag but with yours I have stutters. That should be zram related.

Btw, your kernel is the Best Yank555 ! Recommended it to my people to use it :D

I would recommend you disabled hardswap and keep zram enabled, you will be surprised ;)

You need a CWM compatible recovery (TWRP is fine as well).

There is no need for the MOD, it's included in the kernel Aroma anyway...

But yes, remove the MOD, then flash the kernel using only "Next" in Aroma, you'll have my recommended settings.

Well yes and no ;)

Yes it is what I have used until a few weeks back, and yes it is what I would be using, were my S3 still my daily device, but it is not any more, I use a Note 3 now.

But these are the settings I would recommend.
