Well since it's a different device, it may not work, I don't know the specifics, I have a n9005 and I can only test it on that one, that's an "hlteeur"...

JP.

Apparently I can use the faux kernel with my Korean device hence I also can use yours right? sorry for dumb questions but Ireally ;like your Kernl works since S3 times. :D

Hmm ust rechecked faux xda page and I would have to use the 'hltektt-faux123. Hence presumably a no go with your version of hlteeur :(

Then probably not :(

I hate Samsung for making so many different versions of "the same" device, SGS3 was already a mess (with exynos and snapdragon), but Note 3 is way worse :(

Hello Yank, this is George from Greece.
My new device in a SM-N9005 CSC XEH (Hungary).I've already rooted it (Universal De La Venga) and my current version is XXUDMJ7.
I will flash a custom recovery and then I'll try your Kernel.
I have red that I have to alter build.prop making this change first:ro.securestorage.support=false (default is true).
1)How can I do this?
2)Can you suggest a specific custom recovery to me?
Thank you in advance...

Just a detail, by doing anything of what you intend to, you will trip the knox warranty void efuse (0x1), just wanted to point that out ;)

To change build.prop you can use a text editor, you just need a file explorer which allows for root access and remounting /system in read/write mode, like this one.

As recovery, I highly recommend using Chenglu's CWM.

JP.

Thank you.
Of course I know about knox...
You know I own this device for the last 15 days and it seems there is not any initial hardware malfunction or problem etc.
This means that I don't care about warranty at all...

Same as I did, just in case better wait a few days and then go ;)

Well...I'm ready to flash your kernel.
First of all I have to modify the build.prop...
Then...
Do I have to run a clean up application first for the OEM kernel?

Just change the build prop and flash the kernel, that's all there is ;)

JP.

PS: My cleaning script is only intended if you want to switch to a different kernel, to remove any leftovers, though those are passive and don't hurt, but it won't hurt to remove those few texts files either ;)

Unfortunately my build.prop is not able to be changed.I try to store changes but it says "there is a storage error and changes will not be saved".
I tried it with both root explorers (File Manager and ES explorer...)
What am I doing wrong?
(I gave root permissions to both explorers...)

Root permission is not enough, you're making changes to "/system", so "/system" needs to be remounted in read/write.
