So samsung did some revamping of the stock ondemand governor right? How does intelidemand compare to the newer samsung code? And it seems like on the note3 and newer devices in general that mpdecision does a really good job so. Does Intelliplug really make that big a difference with this device? i appreciate your version of his kernel its so much more fluid on my device, thank u. It's just the same way as your yank tweaked sensation kernels. They were way smoother/ better battery..

Hmm, well I just do compile, there's not much to it (except fast charge which is a completely different implementation).

mpdecision sometimes messes with me with cores stuck online, so I have to kill it off so it gets respawned and all is good again.

Can't say much about intelliplug/demand as I mostly run my kernel (the other thread), which doesn't have it.

In general I must say ondemand with mpdecision is not too bad, way better than PegasusQ on i9300, so it's doing a pretty good job indeed.

But I don't like the idea of having a deamon handle hotplugging, that should be in the governor / kernel, scaling and hotplugging are closely linked, and splitting that up like this is just big nonsense imho, kernel handles scaling, userspace handles hotplugging !?!?

Well as soon as I get to it I intend to include zzmoove governor to my kernel (again the other thread) which handles both in the governor directly, it's been a breethe on the i9300, parts of zzmoove I coded myself, Zanezam having started the work on the governor, we've been working together on it.

But more when we are there ;)

Changelog 003b05 (09/11/2013)

  • updated ramfs to MJ7 (not really worth mentionning, though)
  • added 24 bit audio playback
  • added dynamic fsync
  • added color temperature control (by CM and imoseyon)
  • updated ramfs to MJ6
  • rebased sources to MJ6 for N9005

Use only on MJ6 or MJ7 firmwares !!!

Make a Nandroid before flashing this, I can't test the kernel, I still have the MI7 ROM on mine...

Hello Yank...
Are your Kernels compatible with N9002 models? (Note3 dual sim)

I couldn't say, I only have a n9005, dunno if there are differences, could be :

- different partition table
- different ramfs
- different kernel sources

I've also compiled a 003b05 for older firmwares (prior to MJ6).

On 005 I get alot of heat and a weird qcamera daemon wake lock that is almost as much as the screen drain.. If I revert to the previous release that wake lock goes away and the heat does to.. Haven't pulled a log yet

Are you certain you used the right one (right firmware) ?

Which kernel did you download (filename) and which firmware do you use ?
