That may indeed be worth a try, I haven't tested that yet...

Hey i tried it. It solves the problem a little bit, i can hear the difference. But with the lean and interactive governor it solves the problem completely. The next problem with this "little" solution is, that the SGN3 gets very hot. [LOUDLY CRYING FACE] any other ideas?

Try setting CPU-min globally higher.

Kernel Update

Changelog 005b1 (10/01/2014)

  • more zswap optimization (faster zswap)
  • crypto lib optimization (faster encryption engine)
  • fixed unalignement exception
  • futex optimization (fast userspace locks/mutex)

Make a Nandroid before flashing this...

working stable and with no problems so far :)

how much does ZRAM compress the application in the ram?
Does it compress only USER-apps or does it compress all apps (including kernel -task-ram)?

can i check somehow , with an app, if it's working properly? (cat /proc/meminfo does not offer much detail)

It's a low level thing, so everything is concerned, as what is swapped out are 4Kb pages in RAM.

How much it's compressed depends entierly on the data being compessed, expect 35% average, so you win about 65% space.

But we have zSwap, not zRam, it does the same thing, but in a different way ;)

So...

after running it since the release, with all the latest updates on my phone---

Battery life is a monster. I've charged it 1 day 4 hours ago, and i have 80 %, although i used it medium (2h 30m screen time), yesterday!

I Hope we'll see further optimizations (and maybe GPU Overclocking to keep up with the SD 805???)

Nice Work!

Really ? Us tmobile users and the official faux version are getting not so great battery. I should try yanks version here and just see. Shouldn't be a difference but who knows... I'm getting awesome battery with his latest kernel so it's hard to leave something that works.
