Is it possible that a new intellithermal version (v 3?) was released? The kernel works fine also without an update, only few reboot with intellimm governor but i use intelliactive.

Intellithermal v3 is for 3.10.y kernels only I think ... don't know if faux also backported it to older Linux versions. Would have to check, but so far I only have it in my Nexus 6 kernel (3.10.y).

JP.

EDIT : Nothing in his Nexus 5 kernel, which is very close to Note 3.

Sorry for asking another non-kernel related question, but since moving to Lollipop I am typically missing the Silent mode option. Is there any way to get it back? I mean exactly how it was on KitKat, no ringer or vibrate, but screen will light up and LED too with every notification.

Whoever has chosen to cut down the Silent option is really intelligent :|

Sure could be coded, but someone needs to code it (ROM side).

In LP you have a similar thing I think (don't use it myself), priority mode in notifications...

Maywbe worth having a look.

Or there are certainly apps that can help you out.

Okay, understood.

That damn Priority mode is absolutely worthless for me, I don't know for what kind of people it's targeted! And it's not Silent mode, I mean entirely different thing. Anyway, saw on sammobile.com that S5 got an update which brings back the Silent mode and also the Do Not Disturb mode of Samsung, so I can just hope such an update will be pushed for Note 3 too.

And no mate, there is no app on Play which brings back the actual Silent mode, I have tried at least a dozen, and all of them conflicts with Priority mode and can't enable the true Silent mode. For the time being I am going back to KitKat.

I have downloaded the ROM which was released for Galaxy S5, OB7, which brought back the Silent Mode and brought back the Do Not Disturb feature too, so is there any way I can extract those features from that ROM and make it work on Note 3? I mean I don't know anything, how complicated the process could be?

Your best bet would be a port, there no 'extracting' of features of a ROM without sources...

Porting, though, seldomly will work perfectly, it's about trying to use a ROM intended for a different device, so it's fumbling more than anything else, even if on sourceless devices, that's all there is, only kernel sources HAVE TO be shared and that's only part of the deal, a tiny part :(

This is why I'll not buy a device anymore for which ROM sources aren't available, so Nexus only as it is currently.
