Well if it was a faux, it would be in here already ;) I only do the maintaining for him for the n9005, and add a little stuff myself (like touchwake, fast charge etc.).

The thing is, adding more steps is not really a good idea, as scaling need to go through more steps potentially, and also replacing steps may not be good either, as it might stay in such a "standby" step when it should not ...

That's why I stated "if there are real benefits" ... as in "is there really a difference in battery" ?

I checked with faux :

faux123 wrote:GPU is a bit different from CPU clocking
GPU clock gets turned off when it's not used... where as CPU core 0 is always on
so 27MHz may be worse for battery than turn it off
not everything needs 3D engine.. sometimes only the 2D engine is used (and it is on all the time while screen is on ;) )
if you use stock governor, it actually chooses its own frequencies, so it won't use the extra step

Hi Yank, I have just flashed your latest kernel through TWTP but I didn't see any Aroma walkthrough process instead it was a normal straightaway process! Do I have to do anything special in order ti access Aroma-settings? Thanx!

Noticing overall sound via YouTube and music app both at max volume aren't as loud as stock or other kernels. You. Can still hear it but its at maybe 60% if standard volume. Aurora kernel had the same issue. All others are fine

Would have to check, but soundwise I don't remember seeing any changes due to the sourcedrop ... ROM side change ?

I will have a hard time getting behind this, as this is fist TW kernel I tested myself... so I don't know what to compare it with.

You do have fauxsound to change the settings ?

This is faux123 kernel, not my Yank Kernel (there is no TW Yank kernel), so there is no Aroma. To set the kernel features you need to use fauxclock (ideal, pay app) or other kernel config apps.

Yea I do, you can hear it fine, but max volume is not nearly as loud as stock, and when I increase with faux sound it adds just a little volume, but adds distortion , and when I say distortion its a low volume distorted crackle. Not horrible. Notifications come through at normal volume, just music, and YouTube videos through headphones seem to be effected. Also the quality of the sound being produced is somewhat muffly if that makes sense? I'm on the same nf1 I've been on for a month no changes.. Aurora kernel also has this issue.. No others if that helps narrow it down. Yes all my volumes are at max as well.. It just sounds different

OK, on the headphones, that I haven't tested at all, I'd have gone for the speaker ;)

Will try to have a look tonight, but can't say for sure...

Average battery usage by kernel is 7%. That's incredible! Haven't tested a kernel that didn't consumed over 8,3%.
