Here's a working init.d script for touch wake. Set permissions to 755 and reboot.

I've tested 2 kernels with this feature (AEL and Aurora) and it worked nicely. It makes a difference when GPU is idle. You certain it would actually go down there ? Haven't looked at GPU at all so far ... but yes, why not if it really does make a diff.
