I'll never understand why people don't want to give the right credits!!!

What can I say...

This is even worse than not giving credit, it's stealing credit.

But Chad has a record of doing it, I'm just another name on the list from whom he stole credit...

JP.

Who the fuck is chad?!

Chad Goodman. Aka anthrax kernels. And his supposed friend Eric dye. Supposedly Eric is a copy right holder for the Linux kernel. He regularly reports faux to the gpl mailing list. His a piece of shit. I personally think Chad Goodman is Eric dye. I think they are the same person. Theirs no way their are two people that are so equally garbage. So they have to be the same person. This Chad supposedly has created so many innovations but the record shows he's a liar, he tried to steal credit from showp1984 for mp decision, but that didn't go so well for him, he also claims faux Sound as his own, he also claims Intelli demand as his own, sweep to wake as well. He is a pile of shit. I'm very sorry, my troll comes out and I go on the attack and get all fired up.. I'll leave the thread here alone, but I'm definitely taking to Google plus and trolling his trolls with information and proof.

True, such guys wake the worst in ourselves, but there's little one can do.

I just wonder how someone can feel good knowing it's a lie, but anyway, if that makes him happy ;)

As I said on G+, if he needs to steel something as easy as that to code, all I can say is, it's a proof of deep lack of coding skills on his end :D

as everyone's off-topic....

I have to say that i used his kernel on my old htc sensation.
It was the most performant kernel in my eyes.

however, i do not care that much about that stuff - i just want a performant phone

in my eyes, the gpl does not force you to unveil any source if you publish the kernel in a private forum...

and that's what it's about, right?

No, it's about taking what I did, and putting his name under it and claiming it's his work. And by that saying I am the one who would have stolen from him in fact... that's cynical and very insulting to the hours of work I've put into it !

That is as wrong as it gets !

All he did is replace 'by Yank555.lu' by 'Copyright Chad' ... is that right ? Is that helping open source stay open ?

See next thing I can do, is continue my work, and just keep it to myself...

That would have made Note 3 have no touchwake, no fast charge, no led control, part mdnie control, in any of the kernels out there. I would have all that, so what's the gain for the public then ?

And if other devs do the same, everybody loses !

What I do is 100% free to take, use, modify (that is open source), I just want one thing, proper credit, as common sense asks.

For real? If I had a ban hammer I'd be warming her up.. Lol jk sorta. Literally changing the header on someone's original work and putting your name In and then releasing it and promoting it and receiving praise and donations is the most lazy disrespectful twatty move a "dev" can do. I also am familiar with anthrax, know people who use anthrax, I would venture to say if his source was open you would see a faux/yank kernel with raised l2 and increased bus and nothing more.

At some point all his nonsense will catch up with him. On the bright side he lost his forums, he lost a ton of users, he lost alot, and as long as he operates this way he will continue to lose users, respect etc.

well... i'm in a dev team myself (not android/linux; Windows), producing a OS Software.

and i got to say... there will always be black sheeps - for example, someone was distributing our software under his name -

but, and that's the point :

He was pleading flr donations. And he WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL.

I reported him to the payment processors he was using and, unfortunately, he had to put down his website.

I thought same happened with chad but it seems, he's still active?

Confession: I was using his kernel for a month. After that, i upgraded to cyanogen because of shitty htc software.
