[hlte][2014/DEC/07][CM11/12] Yank555.lu kernel v1.1c-beta6

Re: [hlte][2014/JUN/09][CM11] Yank555.lu kernel v1.0b-beta8

Postby ezaechiel » 12 Jun 2014, 07:55

OK, got it, thanks for all these explanations. :-D

EDIT : Calibration done, will give you feedback asap :)

After calibration cat prox_cal gives me : 440048, 4404168, 4404128

Same problem again, the problem is not a calibration problem.

An idea to restore prox_cal to normal?

EDIT 2 : Found on xda (thanks to xcxa23)

To do in a bright place :)

On a terminal :
type "su"
type "echo 0 > /sys/class/sensors/proximity_sensor/prox_cal" ==> it will force the sensor to reset
type "echo 1 > /sys/class/sensors/proximity_sensor/prox_cal" ==> it will force the sensor to recalibrate
type "reboot"

It recalibrate automatically the sensor but it does not solve the problem of phone app.
I'll test if the problem happens again, I'll get you feedback.

Well thinking of going closer to CM stock, adding mostly functionality but no 'under hood stuff' ... been having some instability in latest betas, so trying to locate the source ;)

I may have found it, testing a little now. If it's that, I'll probably go on with 1.0b .. so it's 50/50 ;)

Wow quite a lot of reading haha. I didn't quite got all of it, but you seem in every way you express yourself here, on tema former xda thread, on Twitter, not the guy who seeks out problems. Therefore I will make my own 'judgement' in the matter, and take your (as boeffla's (which I recon to be quite the helper too instead of troubleseeker) ) word(s) to the matter of unjust behavior of moderators. I've come to see in own experience that on a lot of forums, mods tend to 'reek' power in being a mod and therefore abusing some of those powers. Off course there's always exceptions to that 'rule'.

You don't need those communities, they need you (and boeffla).... Period....

Hey just to update...the proximity sensor issue is not a kernel issue...the ROM I use was just updated and the problem is gone

Strange I still have the problem with beta8 and cm m7 but not with cm kernel and m7 :-(. Maybe something interfering between kernel and Rom.

Hello yank555, I had a question. When I flash your latest cm11 kernel on my hlte n900w8 note 3 running aosb I seem to lose data? Is there a way to fix this issue at all? Love your work, thanks
