[hlte][2014/DEC/07][CM11/12] Yank555.lu kernel v1.1c-beta6

It works great now, on your 1.1 previous beta (with no governor tweaks etc) and Tema v105. I'll leave it all as is, since I don't have any problems at the moment.....

Yank, I installed the kernel, and had to promptly uninstall. :( There are some oddities with audio with the kernel; the audio would glitch up when unlocking the phone. I went back to Temasek 3.77 and all is good.

Sorry if this is a dumb question or an already done one, I'm new here! :|

Is recommended to wipe cache and dalvik before or after (both?) flashing your Kernel (moving from the stock one from CarbonROM)?

Nope, dalvik cache is unknown to kernel (dalvik is a process running as one process on top of the kernel, so no impact), and cache partition may need formating, but that's a flaw in Aroma, you only need to do that in case the settings you chose in Aroma don't stick.

Hi yank I am not having audio issues per say but after flashing the latest kernel 1.1 beta 10 my screen is dead. My phone does boot up and the buttons light up but my screen is dead.

As of right now I have had to go back to beta 8 due to the reboots while using beta 15 but it brings my screen back.

I'm not sure what could be doing this exactly but I have tried flashing with all default settings and still same thing. I have also tried disabling touch to wake and all the colour settings but still dead screen. I am running v21 slim rom and the Canadian note 3. W8 if I remember correctly.

As of right now I'll try to redownload but could use some help. Can't attach the log because forum won't let me.

There's been a non backwards compatible change in CM on 20140630, so kernels will either work up to 20140630 included, or from 20140701 onwards.

v1.1-beta10 is intended to be used for CM nightly 20140701 and above.

Previous versions of CM will work up to v1.1-beta7.

v1.0xx will only work up to 20140630 included.

Now the question is, when and if slim will merge those changes into their sources ? So the switchdate for Slim will be a different date then CM, if they use the chanhes at all, CM having the lead here.

JP.

Send from my 'proudly eFused' Note 3 (n9005) running Carbon ROM 20140701 on Yank555.lu CM11 htle v1.1-beta11 kernel.

Well ... last night went down the drain to regive this "crappy unified CM" another go ... conclusion, sleepless night, so tired at work after only 2-3h of sleep ... 14h later, freezes, reboots ...

So I just ordered a Nexus 5, I've had enough of Samsung crap, and CM unification crap, I'm going AOSP, so no creepy hiden stuff, lack of sources etc.

Yes, there still will be blobs, and there is mpdecision (which I'll be kicken so fast once I get my Nexus)...

Don't know what I'll do with my Note 3 ... maybe keep it, to continue playing with it, or just sell it ... I don't just know yet.
