Could you try an Antutu run ?

I really don't like Benchmark apps, but Antutu managed to systematically reboot my beta2 kernel somewhere around 30% of the test, so it's an interesting "stress test" for a change and as such useful ;)

JP.

Gonna 1/download this app, 2/run a test, 3/back to you, 4/flash temasek kernel, 5/take videos, and then 6/back to you again ;)

EDIT1 : Antutu benchmark PASSED (not a big score but I was using my phone in same time), Videos taken from Cameras (stock and Google Camera) are PLAYABLE with MX Player

Well no problem! :)

I watched @ xda and problem also happens with temasek kernel : stock player cannot play recorded videos. But MX Player can!

I don't want to bother you but since you have gave me no answer I assume you haven't seen my request : could you add GPU frequency in your Aroma script ?
And I just thank to something, would be good to be able to store/save user config. I tick some case, chose my settings, and at the end, Aroma ask for a saved config, and then we are able to select it from the 1st screen (like Yank profil, W03 profil, etc.). Just a suggestion though :)

Saw it, too. Anyway, for now it's an improvement ;)

You mean to underclock ? As there's no GPU overclock in my kernel. Need to look where it's set, but yes, shouldn't be a big deal to add.

This, on the other hand is not so easy, plus if going for a new kernel, sometimes there are other / mors / less settings, would be quite hard :(

But let me think about it... who knows, I may come up with something...

Yep.
Well I can give you them as I have my own script which can set them thru Terminal :

GPU_AVAILABLE_GOVERNORS : /sys/class/kgsl/kgsl-3d0/devfreq/available_governors
GPU_CURRENT_GOVERNOR : /sys/devices/fdb00000.qcom,kgsl-3d0/devfreq/fdb00000.qcom,kgsl-3d0/governor

GPU_AVAILABLE_FREQUENCIES : /sys/class/kgsl/kgsl-3d0/gpu_available_frequencies
GPU_MAX_FREQUENCY : /sys/devices/fdb00000.qcom,kgsl-3d0/devfreq/fdb00000.qcom,kgsl-3d0/max_freq

Ok no problem just an idea. I know developpers are always hungry of new stuff to add :)

Crap ... Antutu still reboots my device :(

I'd really like to get some more feedback, of more could run Antutu and report how it went...

Just ran Antutu on mine (twice) and it also reboots my device (both times). It reboots at 31% during the CPU Integer Performance test. I'm running your kernel with your settings apart from setting the maximum CPU frequency to 2.4GHz) (also maximum USB3 voltage to stock, but phone is not on charge so that is unlikely to have an effect).

Please do let me know if there's anything else you need.

Could you just try the same using beta1 kernel ?

It should run through, but just to clearly determine from where I need to be looking in the commits.

Sure thing. Flashed 1.1c-beta1+ and mine's still rebooting. Still during the CPU Integer Performance test, but at a slightly earlier stage (~27%) - though that may or may not be relevant.

Tried a few variations - here's a summary (in order of testing):

  • v1.1c-beta3: Reboots during CPU Integer Performance test. Yank555's settings, except: CPU max=2.4GHz.
  • v1.1c-beta1+: Reboots during CPU Integer Performance test. Yank555's settings, except: CPU max=2.4GHz.
  • v1.1b: Reboots during CPU Integer Performance test. Yank555's settings, except: CPU max=2.4GHz.
  • Temasek v0.33: Runs through test without issue.
  • v1.1c-beta3: Runs through test without issue. All stock settings.
  • v1.1c-beta3: Reboots during CPU Integer Performance test. Yank555's settings, except: CPU max=2.24GHz.
  • v1.1c-beta3: Runs through test without issue. Yank555's settings, except: CPU max=2.24GHz, governor=interactive.

Interestingly the default governor for your settings is yankactive in 1.1b and intellimm in 1.1c and both reboots during Antutu but using the stock interactive governor does not. Not sure if there are other settings that can be changed to narrow it down any further?
