Can't say I notice any huge battery issue with it, as I get a 3-5h SOT on the Nexus at 2.5GHz, which pretty decent for the tiny battery given it's the same SOC as the Note 3 ;)

Oh ok I may try again than :).
Well thanks for your attention, back on topic now, stop polluting your thread :D.

Beta CM12 Kernel Update

Maintenance update, kernel.org updated Linux to 3.4.105 today and I've added wakeup_reason api same as Temasek did.

Changelog CM12-full hlte v1.1c-beta2 (03/12/2014)

  • added wakeup_reason API (Ruchi Kandoi via Temasek)
  • updated to kernel.org Linux 3.4.105

Hi Yank. I dl'd this and it hangs when aroma installer starts. Is it just me? I'm on temas' cm12, running his kernel. The whole v1.4 rom is great, I just wanted to play with another kernel. Would it be trickster upsetting it?

Nope, Aroma hanging, then you're in recovery ... could be Aroma (happens, but very seldom), could be recovery/Aroma issue.

Did you try only once ??

I'm, on CWM, flashed as always, and there's been no change in Aroma in months...

I've had reports of instability with beta2, in case you have any issue (reboot), please let me know and revert to beta1.

Running Antutu systematically crashes the device (I am on Tema's 1.4), testing on beta1 works fine.

As it looks, I must have derped upstreaming to 3.4.105, so for now, better you stick to beta1.

Beta CM12 Kernel Update

Somehow I guess I derped upstreaming to 3.4.105, so I redid it, hopefully it's fine this time (can't test, don't have my n9005 with me). If someone can give Antutu a go, if it goes through, we're good, if you get a RR, I would have derped again :?

Also we have a temporary hack that fixes the video recording (again, couldn't test myself)

If there is anything going wrong, please let me know (with logs if possible) ;)

Changelog CM12-full hlte v1.1c-beta3 (04/12/2014)

  • added temporary hack: Workaround for broken camera driver (Cyanogen)
  • reupdated to kernel.org Linux 3.4.105 (must have been a derp on my end in beta2)

Thanks for the update @yank555, will let you know about videos, and what you want.

Could you add GPU frequency in the Aroma script? Would be good to set it there. Then no need for additionnal script or TricksterMOD.

EDIT : Well camerao does record, but videos are not playable from stock player. Howerver I can play them with VLC, but video is laggy and contains glitches. (I haven't tested with temasek kernel though).

Would be good to have a go with Tema's kernel, though I expect it to be the same, I took the commit from his kernel repo.

Could you try an Antutu run ?

I really don't like Benchmark apps, but Antutu managed to systematically reboot my beta2 kernel somewhere around 30% of the test, so it's an interesting "stress test" for a change and as such useful ;)
