Try using higher screen off cpu max freq. I use a pretty low default... saves battery, but can be slow when receiving calls...

Thanks, I will give that a shot. But the odd thing is I don't receive calls even while the screen is on. I tried a test call with screen on and it did not come through.

Calls are not handled by the kernel, but by the ROM through RIL (Radio Interface Layer), RIL is partly ROM and partly modem ... nothing in the kernel.

Switching kernel fixes this ?? Did you maybe change modem or ROM ?

The fact, that a device takes longer to wakeup when a call arrives is what I was meant, that csn be due to kernel restrictions (CPU), but in that case the phone would ring/vibrate but the screen only turn on after 1-2 rings.

I think I might have upgraded from CM11 20141113 nightly to CM11 20141209 nightly at the same time I installed yank555. I'll try going back to 20141113.

What I meant above is that I don't think it's a wake issue per your description because even if I have the screen already on, and I try to place a test call from another phone into this one, the call is not received.

Then it's unlikely the kernel is the cause as it's not involved in phone calls.

You can also try stock kernel to rule out the kernel.

If it works on stock, maybe there's a change in ramfs that could have an impact, wouldn't be the first time.

I think you were right, I ran a more controlled test, rolled back to CM11 M12, stock kernel, calls worked fine. Then installed yank555, yank555 settings, and calls are still working on CM11 M12. So something must have happened in the nightlies. Anyway, thanks for the support and sorry for the bother!

Hey Guys, I am new here :)

Got a Note3 a few days ago and looked for a custom kernel to replace the one shipping with CM11 (brought me shiploads of freezes and reboots). I found this one, obviously, installed it and became happy :D I have been using it for two days now, good performance and decent battery life, no issues at all (I think I didn't experience a single unwanted reboot).

@yank555 Great work! Keep it up, please!

Viele Grüße und ein fettes Danke ;) // Greetz and thanks a lot
