Alpha Kernel Update

My (usual) version of fast charge (separate AC and USB) is now included, as well as my CPU Hardlimit driver including a very own 2-level freq. touchboost, touching the screen will bring CPU min to touchscreen lo freq., touching the screen a certain number of times during touchboost will raise it to touchboost hi freq. (like typing on a keyboard).

Note that it may make sense to slightly raise touchboost (by one step each) in Aroma, my settings is mostly battery oriented, but this improves responsiveness a lot if you use intelliplug (which I warmly recommend).

NB: Changelog for alpha5 vs. alpha 2 is highlighted in red.

Changelog v1.0-alpha5 (20/07/2014)

  • based on Google Hammerhead Kitkat MR2 sources as of 2014-07-12 (Linux 3.4.0)
  • using stock KTU84P 4.4.4 ramfs
  • changed kernel compression to XZ (make some space for more stuff)
  • kernel compilation optimized for size(make some space for more stuff)
  • added minimal busybox to ramfs to support kernel config script on boot
  • added /proc/config.gz support
  • added ntfs support (read/write)
  • added exfat support
  • added nfs support (v3 & v4)

  • added intelli_thermal in-kernel thermal engine (faux123)
  • added intelli_plug in-kernel hotplug driver v3.7 (faux123)

I think most of the N5 user don't know that there is Yank kernel for them.
Yank from your signature, I think that Yank kernel is coming for OnePlusOne.

Yep, v0.0 is compiled but not yet tested (full stock to check my base is ok), started compilation when I left home this morning, checked, compiled fine ... will test tomorrow ;)

Hi JP great to see your kernel on the Nexus 5. Like on the Samsung Galaxy S3 ut runs smooth, snappy and the batterylife is good (only one cylce but that seem to be very good).
So i have a little question, how so I use touch to wake? I've tried knocking two times on the display, swiping in diffrent heights. So pleass help me :D
Thanks in advance!

Hehe, as I said on G+, for other readers here, it's only an alpha for now, and only what's in the changelog actually already works, the rest is where I'm headed, if it's doable and making sense. The menu is 1:1 from my Note 3 kernel ;)

JP.
