SlimLP Beta Kernel Update

Nothing major, just a ramfs update and slight changes in default settings...

Changelog v1.2-beta3 (04/12/2014)

  • ramfs: using SlimLP 5.0.1 alpha0.7 (20141203-2326) ramfs
  • default Aroma settings slightly changed (higher but shorter touchboost, shorter wakeupkick and lower screen off max)
  • added vibrator strength settings to Aroma menu on user request

Hello JP,

Should I run Yank's latest stock 5.0 kernel on new 5.0.1?
I updated the rom (cache, system, radio & bootloader) using fastboot without flash boot and system reboots ok.

There has not been any change in Google's kernel repo, last time I checked, so kernel should still be fine.

Slim is updated to 5.0.1, running fine.

JP.

SlimLP Beta Kernel Update

No functionality change, but a huge change in my CPU Hardlimit driver, touchboost has been completely rewritten, it's now device independant, so porting to another device is easier, no need to go look where to add hocks in the digitizer driver, plus the CPU footprint of touchboost is smaller and keeping one or more fingers on the screen will keep the boost going until all fingers are lifted.

I'd say this one might be v1.2 non beta, been running it for a few days, no hicups.

Changelog v1.2-beta4 (24/12/2014)

  • updated CPU freq. HardLimit to v2.2 - touch detection completely rewritten, digitizer independent (Yank555.lu)

SlimLP Kernel Update

I had to add the torch service to avoid systemui FCs on builds using dankoman's systemwide torch service (ramfs only, kernel is unchanged).

Since the kernel has been stable for months, it's time to call it such, so here is v1.2.

Changelog v1.2 (04/03/2015)

  • ramfs: using SlimLP 5.0.1 alpha0.7 (20141203-2326) ramfs
  • ramfs: added torch service to SELinux services
  • default Aroma settings slightly changed (higher but shorter touchboost, shorter wakeupkick and lower screen off max)
  • added intellimm governor (faux123)
  • added vibrator strength settings to Aroma menu on user request
  • updated CPU freq. HardLimit to v2.2 - touch detection completely rewritten, digitizer independent (Yank555.lu)

Kernel Update

Updated to latest faux intelliplug v4.0 with ROM-side powerHAL integration. This requires a ROM with support, so far probably only my SlimLP builds have it (can be found here).

I will upload a v1.3+ as I get time to include the precomppiled lib (optional flash through Aroma option), so it will be usable on any AOSP/SlimLP ROMs.

NB: The kernel will work on any ROM, just intelliplug v4.0 will not have the extra benefit of ROM-side powerHAL integration.

Changelog v0.8 (11/03/2015)

  • updated intelli_plug in-kernel hotplug driver to v4.0 (faux123) --> reuires a ROM with powerHall support (my SlimLP has)

Totally forgot working on my AOSP ROM ;)

Gimme a few minutes ...

Kernel Update

This is simply the bringup of v1.3 to AOSP 5.1_r3, and will be the base kernel of my upcoming YAOSP ROM (pure AOSP with added features, see screenshot below).

NB: The ramfs used here is the one generated from a pure AOSP self-compiled ROM, should work fine on AOSP ROMs (CM will likey not work).

Changelog v1.3 (09/04/2015)

  • updated kernel to 5.1 sources
  • ramfs: using AOSP 5.1_r3 ramfs (selfcompiled ROM)
