Hi,

Kernel has been updated, have a look at the second post for more details.

Support for CM12 is very likely broken, due to theme engine ...

As I had annouced, CM12 would be fine as long as no major changes are required, I focus on my daily ROM, which is SlimLP.

JP.

Doesn't work on AICP latest nightly for shamu. Only throwing a theme engine tho. That could be the bigger issue. Worked fine prior to cm12 theme engine was implemented.

CM12 theme engine support needs ramfs changes (which would still be ok), but from what I read it also needs the use of a CM12 binary, and that was what I announced, as soon as CM12 requires too much change I would drop support, and I knew this wouldn't take long, as usual with CM...

I need a kernel for my daily ROM, which is SlimLP, that's the mainline I will support. If SlimLP were to adopt CM's theme engine, maybe it would start working again, but I highly doubt Slim will do that.

And I won't have the time to maintain multiple kernels... I rather use that time to work on ROM stuff or my kernel, rather than lose it to follow CM compatibility which I of no use to me. The reason I got into Nexus (hlte -> Nexus 5) was to exactly stop doing that and get rid of CM's crap (more bug fixing on our end, instead of feature adding)... and run clean AOSP-based ROMs, which on non-Nexus devices is not possible without coping with at least some CM stuff.

JP.

Sent from my Nexus 6 running Yank555.lu SlimLP 5.0.2 LRX22G on Yank555.lu v0.5 kernel.

Thanks for the Kernel.

Don’t mind us if we asking you to support CM12 Theme Engine, cause we (I should say I) really like your kernel and the feature and simplest and easiest way it’s work (not to mention it’s really stable)

But if you find time we really appreciate that if you can support that too (Either way getting some FC is not big deal, we can deal with that and keep your kernel)

PS. I found this, maybe that help you.

Try connecting to the forum from your browser once, Tapatalk will launch the browser to download, and if you're not connected to the forum prior to that, that won't work...

If it's only SELinux stuff to be added, could do it ... will have a look, but no time tonight and abroad tomorrow.
