Hi, I'm back on faux123/Yank555.lu kernel for touchwiz, working great for now :).

I'm on MultiX by tkari and the kernel is just running like a charm, all is working, no problem at all for this moment with the a6+

Well I really need to find some time, or better take some time, to look into touchwake with finger, it's a stupid fix to do, it's just about looking for the right spot to hook on in the sources to get notified of the touch, but since I can't flash it myself, debugging is "complicated", and I'm always like there's something more important to do :(

It's just sad that the code is out in several other kernels, where devs use the kernel themselves, and noone tries to adapt it for TW kernels, as it's working like a charm on CM11 kernels...

Anyway, that is the only reason faux kernel is still "alpha", else it would be beta or in fact even plain stable ;)

If you need a tester I could help you, I'm on a stable tw rom and could help you to debug this functionnality

Beta Kernel Update

Just in case you wonder, there were no prior public releases of 001b kernels, 001b4 is the first ;) The reason was the paralel development of intelli-plug and fauxclock by faux123.

The latest beta of fauxclock now also fully supports my Hardlimit driver, thanx to faux for the load of work to include this :D

New fast charge add support for wireless charging, but due to lack of hardware, I can't test it is indeed working, feedback appreciated here !

Touchwake still isn't properly ported to touchwiz, funny the code's been out there for over one month, it appreared in other kernels, but nobody tried to get to work, when it's a pretty simple thing (if you have a device to test it on) ... will attend to it very soon I hope, but not today, I've just got back home from a week in Italy, travelled 12h to arrive at 4am (it's 3pm now) and I've updated 4 kernels, that's enough for today :D

Changelog 001b4 (29/06/2014)

  • updated LED eXtended ConTRoLs to v1.2 (Yank555.lu)
  • updated CPU Hardlimit to v2.0a (Yank555.lu)
  • updated Forced Fast Charge to v1.2 (Yank555.lu)
  • updated intelli-plug to v3.7 (faux123)
  • touchwake still isn't working for finger (S-Pen works)

Make a Nandroid before flashing this...

Tested on KOT49H.N9500XXUENB3 stock odexed rom and is a very good kernel. I had a reboot while trying to change the GPU governor to simple_ondemand, from Faux123's app but i guess you will fix it. Thanks!
I was wondering if you could implement the 27 mhz frequency to GPU driver?

That's a known issue, that gpu governor is derped in stock sammy sources. I'll remove it (but I always forget to :().

Beta Kernel Update

Let's take 001b5 out of the equation, that was just an internal build for me to test ... yes ... I can now test this kernel, I updated my bootloader ... as my Note 3 now is a dev device, not my daily driver anymore ;) So 001b5 never was released publicly.

Touchwake, since now I could debug this myself, is now fully working, easy catch, the way the touchscreen was turned on/off changes compared to CM11, so the touchscreen was simply off, and finger couldn't work. Just sad all those other kernels out there using my commit didn't care to fix this easy thing :(

BTW, I'm still looking for someone with the necessary hardware to give feedback on the wireless fast charge thing ...

Changelog 001b6 (19/07/2014)

  • updated intelli-plug to v3.8 (faux123)
  • fix small derp in voltage control (faux123)
  • ramfs updated to XXUFNF4
  • updated to Samsung NF1 source drop
  • Touchwake updated to 1.5 (fixes finger, fully functional now)

Make a Nandroid before flashing this...

For me the "real test" is between the lean kernel and yank555 kernel.
