Userspace means kernel needs an app to tell the kernel whem screen is on or off (fauxclock is the only one to handle that).
Hybrid is best.

Sent from your one plus one ehh.? Lucky man, that's a really nice device, I have seen some that have a really warm color to the screen where whites are almost creams. I suppose its possible to dial that out via kernel if one does have that.
Well to be honest, color calibration can be changed in CM anyway, and there's way more fuzz about that than there should be.
Guess it's also due a bit out of frustration that the device is so hard to get hold of. I got offered an invite 2 weeks ago, just finished restoring my TiBU backup a few hours ago.
In fact I have the very same 'device setup' as I had on the Note 3 CM11, and Nexus
So far impressive phone, especially given it cost me 314.99€, if they had capacity to produce higher volumes, Samsung / htc / LG and thelike would feel it.
And cool thing unlocking the bootloader is just a fastboot command (same as on Nexus), flashing recovery also is, no Odin voodoo magic crap. And doing so DOES NOT VOID THE WARRANTY, just as using custom ROM doesn't, OnePlus even asked SlimROMs to support their device, and custom ROMs can be found on OnePlus's own forum !
Some could copy that (Hello. Samsung !).
I just hope they can get production volumes up...
